The first trailer has arrived online for Life Of Crime, the big-screen adaptation of Elmore Leonard novel The Switch, which is itself a prequel to Jackie Brown .
Yasiin Bey (better known as Mos Def) and John Hawkes star as Ordell and Louis, the younger versions of Sam Jackson and Robert De Niro, who kidnap Jennifer Aniston, the trophy wife of Tim Robbins.
The trouble is, he was on the brink of divorcing her anyway, and is none too keen to stump up the $1 million they're asking for her safe return...

Despite their kidnapping ways, this Ordell and Louis seem a lot less menacing than the versions presented in Jackie Brown, although the tone does feel very much in keeping with a classic Leonard caper.
Directed by Daniel Schecter and co-starring Isla Fisher, Will Forte and Mark Boone Junior, Life Of Crime will open in the UK on 5 September 2014.
