Ben Affleck has signed up a trio of big names to his next directorial project, with Sienna Miller, Zoe Saldana and Elle Fanning all joining the cast for Live By Night.
The film will be adapted from the novel by Dennis Lehane, which tells the story of Joe Coughlin, the son of a cop in ‘20s Boston, who turns his back on his family and signs up to a life of crime.
Affleck will be taking the leading role himself, with Miller in line to play the woman he falls for, who also happens to be his gangster boss’s girlfriend.
Saldana will play the role of Graciella Suarez, who Coughlin encounters when his operation moves to Florida, while Fanning will play an aspiring actress who makes some poor choices that also land her on Coughlin’s radar.
As well as starring and directing, Affleck has also adapted the screenplay from the source material, with the film set to open in the UK on 14 October 2016.
