The first official images have arrived from the third film in the Taken franchise, which has also been given a brand new title.
The new film will take a leaf out of Se7en’s book, and will go by the official moniker, Tak3n. Because the “3” kind of looks like a “E” you see…
The new images show big Liam Neeson consoling his daughter and doing some stealth-running, presumably before snapping somebody’s neck.
“I have to go on the run from the not-so-lawful types and the lawful authorities,” says Neeson of the sequel’s plot. “Bryan Mills served his country faithfully, but now even they are after him. They must not like me.”
And while Fox seems keen to keep the franchise going as long as possible, Neeson is convinced this will be his final outing. “It’s a rollicking good story,” he says, “but I think this is the end.”
Directed by Olivier Megaton and co-starring Famke Janssen, Forest Whitaker and Maggie Grace, Tak3n will open in the UK on 8 January 2015.
