In addition to his own directorial career, Martin Scorsese is always happy to help shepherd others’ movies to the screen. He’s turned his eye towards the UK for a new drama called Tomorrow that will feature Stephen Fry, Paul Kaye and Joss Stone.

Tomorrow, which is now shooting under the direction of Scorsese’s long-time script supervisor Martha Pinson, follows the difficulties faced by soldiers returning from combat and their issues adapting to civilian life.

"The dialogue is brilliant and believable; the reversals and surprises are well placed and powerful," Pinson tells The Hollywood Reporter of the script. "The characters and situations are vividly drawn. It explores the difficulty of moving on from losses and injuries, to forge a life, to find sustaining work, and experiencing love."

Stuart Brennan and Sebastian Street wrote the script, and the film also features Stephanie Leonidas and Sophie Kennedy-Clark. Fry will be back on our screens as the Master of Laketown in The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies (out December 12), while Kaye has worked on The Ghoul and Joe Wright’s Pan, and will next be seen in Dracula Untold, which arrives on October 3.
