This year’s crop of films includes The Equalizer, Mike Binder’s Black And White, David Dobkin’s The Judge (starring Robert Downey Jr.) and Alan Rickman’s A Little Chaos, which stars Kate Winslet and Stanley Tucci and is set to close the festival.

While the opening film is yet to be confirmed, other offerings include Shawn Levy’s This Is Where I Leave You, Michael Roksam's The Drop, Jean-Marc Vallee’s Wild, Jason Reitman’s Men Women & Children, Daily Show host Jon Stewart’s first film Rosewater and Hal Hartley’s Ned Rifle, the final chapter in his Henry Fool trilogy.

Other films on display? The Last Five Years, Beach Boys biopic Love & Mercy, The Good Lie, and one or two films that already premiered at Cannes but will have their US/Canadian debut here, including Bennett Miller’s awards-buzzed Foxcatcher and David Cronenberg’s thriller Maps To The Stars.

Toronto’s 2014 incarnation kicks off on September 4 and run until September 14. For full details on screenings, head to the festival's site.
