The first trailer has arrived online for sci-fi comedy Space Station 76, in which Patrick Wilson and Liv Tyler star as a pair of crew members living on a ‘70s space station.
“Welcome to the future of the past” chuckles the film’s official tagline, and sure enough, this first trailer is brimming over with affectionate nods to the early days of sci-fi.
There’s very little given away in terms of plot, but if you’re looking to get a sense of the film’s general tone and sense of humour, this latest trailer does the job very nicely indeed.
Take a look at the new trailer, below…
Patrick Wilson’s moustachieoed captain looks likely to steal most of the scenes on offer to him here, with comic support coming from that cheerfully helpful robot. We want a droid to bring us cocktails at work…
Directed by Jack Plotnick and co-starring Matt Bomer and Marisa Coughlan, Space Station 76 is expected to arrive later this year, with a specific release date yet to be confirmed.
