Sin City: A Dame To Kill For has released a new red-band trailer online, demonstrating just how little has changed in the moral cess-pool from which the film takes its name…
In terms of plot, the new trailer establishes Powers Booth’s crooked senator as the big bad of the piece, before hurtling off into an orgy of severed limbs, push-up bras and badass one-liners.
Eva Green looks more than likely to steal the show here as Sin City’s latest femme fatale, while there’s also a first look at Lady Gaga, seen here helping Joseph Gordon-Levitt out of a jam.

Not the subtlest of trailers then, but in terms of capturing the tone and feel of Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s universe, it gets the job done in blood-soaked style.
Co-directed by Rodriguez and Miller, and co-starring Josh Brolin, Jessica Alba and Mickey Rourke, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For will open in the UK on 25 August 2014.
