A new TV spot has arrived online for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, in which we get a first look at that wise old sensei, Splinter.
It's only a passing glimpse, but that moustachioed rodent is unmistakably the turtles' mentor, to be voiced here by Tony Shalhoub.
He also has a few words of wisdom to share with our half-shelled heroes, telling them to fight as brothers, since there's "nothing as strong as family".

Looks like this version of Splinter knows a thing or two about fighting, and seems more than ready to get his hands dirty in an actual scrap. We're looking forward to the showdown between him and Shredder…
Directed by Jonathan Liebesman and co-starring William Fichtner, Megan Fox and Will Arnett, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will open in the UK on 17 October 2014.
