A new TV spot has emerged online for The Equalizer, in which Denzel Washington goes full badass as former black ops commando, McCall.
Having faked his own death in order to ensure a quiet life, McCall is unwillingly forced to call on all his old skills when a young Chloë Grace Moretz is being terrorised by the Russian mob.
And while he protests that he doesn’t want to become “that man” again, it soon becomes clear that working in a hardware store hasn’t dulled his killer instinct too drastically…

The Eminem track playing over the top of things here might be a little bit distracting, but we’ve always got time for Washington in this kind of form. Let's hope he and Antoine Fuqua can rekindle a little of that Training Day magic…
Directed by Fuqua and co-starring Melissa Leo, Martin Csokas and Bill Pullman, The Equalizer will open in the UK on 26 September 2014.
