The first full trailer has appeared online for The Conjuring spin-off, Annabelle, in which the titular doll sets about menacing another luckless family.
The film is set some years before the original, and this latest trailer hints at the events that may have led to the doll becoming a demonic instrument.
Because there’s a lot more to Annabelle than a creepy paintjob and a pair of unnervingly starey eyes… people tend to get hurt when she’s around. Badly.

Our first piece of advice would be to smash that doll with a sledgehammer. Then burn it. Then bury it. But hey, keeping it in your newborn’s nursery could work too…
Directed by John R. Leonetti (with James Wan on production duties) and co-starring Annabelle Wallis, Alfre Woodard and Ward Horton, Annabelle will open in the UK on 10 October 2014.
