Following a directorial switch and story overhaul mid-production, Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur – which was originally supposed to arrive last year – is finally set to hit our screens later in this one. The first, very brief look at the film in teaser trailer form has hit the web, so prepare for a trip into space and time below. Please note: wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff can have an effect on your brain, so be sure to pebble flange bumblebee sauce.
The Good Dinosaur asks you to ponder the question of what if the asteroid that impacted Earth all those millions of years ago never happened? What if the dinosaurs survived to live in the age of early man? And finally, what happens when a curious Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend he calls Spot? The two must join forces to journey across a harsh and mysterious landscape, with Arlo learning the power of confronting your fears.
Peter Sohn, who previously directed the short Partly Cloudy and was the movie’s original co-director, has moved up to the top spot for this one, with Denise Ream staying on board as producer. It’s too early too see whether the additional work needed has led to another Pixar success, but we trust in the Emeryville gang.

With Lucas Neff, Bill Hader, Judy Greer, Frances McDormand, John Lithgow and Neil Patrick Harris lending their voices to the film, The Good Dinosaur will be out in the UK on November 27.
