A new clip has arrived online for Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes , in which we get a look at one of the more non-threatening apes from Caesar's entourage.
The new clip shows Maurice the orangutan having a friendly encounter with young Kody Smit-McPhee, as the boy's parents look on proudly.
Fortunately, this clip doesn't end in such brutal fashion as the one featuring Koba and his machinegun… it's just a pair of pals enjoying a book together.
Take a look at the new clip, below…
One of the strengths of the first film was the genuinely touching relationships established between Caesar and his human pals, James Franco and John Lithgow, so hopefully there will be more of the same here…
Directed by Matt Reeves and co-starring Gary Oldman, Andy Serkis and Jason Clarke, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes will open in the UK on 17 July 2014.
