With a little shadow play, that is...
Last week, we got our latest look at what co-writer and director Colin Trevorrow is building with Jurassic World. Then, it was limited to the human characters, including Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. People wondered when we might see something of the film’s dino-stars, and today Trevorrow has obliged. Well, sort of.

Yes, it’s a dinosaur’s… shadow. Which is, if we’re honest, an even more fun way to go about teasing the massive creatures we can expect to see in the film. It appears to be more evidence that some of the terrible lizards in the film will boast gene sequences from creatures other than frogs, albeit in keeping with dinosaurs as we know them. Don’t go expecting tentacles. Or plesiosaurs with frikkin’ laser beams attached to their heads.
All that we really know about the plot is that Jurassic World is set years after Steven Spielberg’s original film, at a time when Jurassic Park is actually a functioning attraction on Isla Nublar. In fact, it does its job so well that dinosaurs are almost commonplace. The corporate types who run the place have been pushing for bigger, better and more imposing creatures, and we can’t help but figure that’s when things start to get scare-shaped again.
Pratt plays a scientist doing behavioural research on the raptors when the park has a few lethal issues. Howard, meanwhile, will be one of the team involved in the place. Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Omar Sy, Vincent D'Onofrio, Irrfan Khan, Jake Johnson, Judy Greer, B.D. Wong, Katie McGrath and Lauren Lapkus also show up in the film, which arrives in cinemas on June 12, provided you say the magic word.
