Nightcrawler has dropped a brand new red-band trailer online, using some of the more “unconventional” review quotes the film has received to hilarious effect.
Soundtracked by Kendrick Lamar’s pounding Backseat Freestyle, the new trailer plays up the film’s outrageous sensibilities, as Jake Gyllenhaal’s wannabe reporter crosses every boundary that comes his way.
The overall effect is to create an air of manic black humour, as Gyllenhaal steps ever further down an increasingly dark path.

Directed by Dan Gilroy and co-starring Rene Russo, Riz Ahmed and Bill Paxton, Nightcrawler will open in the UK on 31 October 2014.
