Warner has unveiled a new full-length trailer for The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies, and it is just about as epic as anyone could have reasonably hoped for.
Peter Jackson recently revealed that the film’s grand finale will take the form of a 45-minute battle sequence, and there are many snippets of that combat in this latest trailer.
Sauron’s forces are stirring, you see, and suddenly, the stakes are so much higher than the recovery of a mountain full of stolen gold.

This final film in the trilogy looks to be jam-packed with action, as the armies of Dwarves, Elves and Men must decide whether to stand together in the face of Sauron’s advances, or risk tearing themselves apart over their petty divisions…
Directed by Peter Jackson and co-starring Martin Freeman, Richard Armitage and Ian McKellen, The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies will open in the UK on 12 December 2014.
