A new trailer has arrived online for Foxcatcher, in which Channing Tatum competes for Olympic gold under the watchful eye of wealthy trainer, Steve Carell.
Having spent his life in the shadow of his brother (Mark Ruffalo), Tatum is only too pleased to have the spotlight to himself for once, even if Carell’s intentions are a little murkier than first meets the eye.
He’s a slightly unhinged individual, you see, and although he genuinely wants Tatum to achieve Olympic success, it comes at quite a price…

The film is already generating some serious awards-season buzz, with Carell many people’s tip for an Oscar nod, and judging from the footage on show here, the hype is very much justified…
Directed by Bennett Miller and co-starring Sienna Miller, Anthony Michael Hall and Vanessa Redgrave, Foxcatcher will open in the UK on 9 January 2015.
