Earlier than expected, the first official trailer has arrived online for Avengers: Age Of Ultron , in which our heroes line up for battle against the titular robotic foe.
The trailer kicks off in similar style to the Avengers: Assemble trailer, with Loki’s “you were made to be ruled” speech replaced by the unnervingly mechanical tones of James Spader’s Ultron.
There’s a huge amount to absorb following that, but watch out for Iron Man’s Hulkbuster armour, Cap’s broken shield, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch and lots, lots more…

Loki aside, Marvel movies have occasionally struggled for the lack of a truly arresting villain, but in Ultron, it looks as though the Avengers will be facing a genuinely satisfying foe. Roll on 2015…
Directed by Joss Whedon and co-starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans et al, Avengers: Age Of Ultron will open in the UK on 24 April 2015.
