The first red-band trailer has appeared online for Hot Tub Time Machine 2, which sees the gang from the first film travel into the distant future.
The new film picks up with Clark Duke, Craig Robinson and Rob Corddry’s characters (John Cusack isn’t here this time around) in 2014, with the trio having used their knowledge of the future to make themselves extremely wealthy since the 80s.
However, when Corddry is shot by a mystery gunman, the trio are forced back into the hot tub in an attempt to alter the course of time once more.

Some extremely sharp lines in there, with “a minor Tyler Perry character, Gandalf the Poor and Billy Zane’s dick” being our personal favourite. Gleefully wearing its silliness on its sleeve, this looks like a worthy follow-up to one of the sleeper hits of 2010.
Directed by Steve Pink and co-starring Adam Scott and Chevy Chase, Hot Tub Time Machine 2 will open in the UK on 26 December 2014.
