Edge Of Tomorrow has released an excellent new trailer online, in which Tom Cruise finds himself caught in a time-loop of explosively violent deaths.
He plays a military officer in a dystopian future, in which Earth is fighting a losing battle against an alien invasion force. However, every time he is killed in combat, he finds himself waking up again on the very same day.
Rather painful, you might think, although the flip-side is that with every death comes a fresh opportunity to get it right and maybe, just maybe, save humanity…

This is the first time we've been given an extended look at the dynamic between Cruise and Emily Blunt, the military badass who takes it upon herself to train him up, and it looks extremely promising. She certainly isn't shy in helping him into his next scheduled "wake-up"…
Directed by Doug Liman and co-starring Bill Paxton, Noah Taylor and Brendan Gleeson, Edge Of Tomorrow will open in the UK on 30 May 2014.
