The first official domestic trailer has finally arrived for Snowpiercer, Bong Joon-Ho's much-anticipated dystopian actioner, and it's turned out to be quite the ride.
Set in a world in which a failed global-warming experiment has killed off the majority of Earth's human life, a train powered by a perpetual-motion engine offers sanctuary to the last existing survivors.
However, there are some very clear hierarchical divides aboard Snowpiercer, and with a revolution brewing, things are about to come to the boil in quite spectacular fashion…

The new trailer does a great job of establishing the corrupt and dystopian backdrop against which the action will play out, with Tilda Swinton playing particularly slimy as the villain of the piece. And speaking of the action… well, it looks a bit special doesn't it?
Co-starring John Hurt, Jamie Bell, Ed Harris and Octavia Spencer, Snowpiercer will open in the US on 27 June 2014, with a UK date to be confirmed.
